I got word from Jim today that as his Division duties are increasing he is having, more and more, to send requests for advisement to the Music Lab supervisor on duty. He will be advising Counselors that they should send students directly to the Music Lab for their Music specific advisement questions.
Most of us have already done a great deal of student advisement from the reference desk, but you might see an uptick in the numbers.
If you are not comfortable giving answers to advisement questions that come in you should feel free to refer the student to one of the full-time faculty when they are on duty.
