Dr Arnwine has agreed to allow Greg Von Notias (10021125) to stay and practice on campus after closing time. This is an older student who plays viola in the orchestra and is in Music 9, but doesn’t have any practice area at home. Greg told Jim that he has been staying AFTER THE LAB WAS CLOSED, and then lets himself out long after the lab was closed!
Could this be why our outside doors have been found open time after time??
We need to check EVERY PRACTICE ROOM before closing the lab! Use the master key for the practice rooms.
Greg now has clearance to use V108 to practice on M,T, W, TH from 9pm until 11:30pm. I left a voice mail that reminded him that we close at 9 on Thursdays, and that the lab instructor will need to let him into V108. Joe, this could be a problem for you because you don’t have a student worker from 8-9pm! Maybe you could coordinate opening that room for the student at the same time that you go over to lock V208 and V212 at closing.
Greg’s cel phone is 626-656-0115.
Greg said that someone was allowing him to stay in CA 134 after closing. The instructor, custodian, cadet? I don’t know, but we should not have the center for the arts open after hours. We already have a problem with a student who tries to work/sleep overnight in the painting studio.

ReplyDeleteSo Greg used 134, NOT the practice rooms as I was led to believe at first. We still need to check all the rooms in the building.
DeleteThis could be problematic - I don't even know if my old keys will open V-108! I might have to call security to open it for this person. Could you have him come into the lab and introduce himself to me sometime, so that I know who he is?
ReplyDeleteI just tried my old key, and yes, it does open V-108. But please have this Greg come to the lab and introduce himself to me, so that I'll have a face to connect to the name.
